Pre-Engineered Building Manufacturer in Akhnoor
Akhnoor sits on the bank of the Chenab, about 28 km from Jammu on the Jammu–Poonch highway (NH-144A). Most business here runs on farming: wheat, paddy, maize, vegetables and livestock. Akhnoor at a glance: where the demand comes from
Akhnoor is not a big industrial town yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. But three things are changing that:
- New industrial estate. In March 2025 the J&K government transferred land to the Industries & Commerce Department for five new industrial parks in Jammu district, and Akhnoor tehsil is one of the four locations (with R.S. Pura, Deeli and Jammu). Units that get plots there will need sheds that fit the estate layout and can be put up without a long civil-work season.
- Agro processing. Paddy, wheat and maize from the Chenab belt need milling, drying and covered storage close to the fields.
- Highway trade. NH-144A carries traffic towards Rajouri and Poonch, which suits warehouses, distribution godowns and vehicle workshops along the road.

Rice mills and grain godowns
Clear spans without middle columns make it easy to place machinery and move tractors and trolleys inside. Ventilation monitors on the ridge help hot air escape from milling and drying areas.

From our plant to your Akhnoor site
Akhnoor is about 355 km by road from our plant: Mandi Gobindgarh to Ludhiana, then NH-44 through Jalandhar and Pathankot to Jammu, and then about 28 km on NH-144A to Akhnoor. Steel and sheets travel on trailers.
As a general industry range, a small or mid-size PEB (around 10,000–25,000 sq ft) usually takes a few weeks for design approval, then roughly 4–8 weeks for fabrication, then 2–6 weeks for erection once your foundations and anchor bolts are ready. Your actual schedule depends on size, cranes, mezzanines and site readiness, and we confirm it once the design is fixed. Erection is done from your approved drawings, and we share dispatch logs and photo updates as the job moves.
We are an MSME ourselves (ZED Bronze certified), with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certification, and we also make our own roofing sheets and purlins, so you deal with one supplier for frame, roof and wall.
Akhnoor site conditions and design codes
Akhnoor is in the Jammu plains at the foot of the Shivaliks. There is no snow load to worry about as in the Kashmir valley, but other things matter:
- Earthquakes. Jammu and Kashmir is one of the most earthquake-prone parts of India. BIS issued a revised seismic map in 2025 and then withdrew it, restoring IS 1893 (Part 1):2016. We design to whichever zone map is officially in force when your drawings are made, and we tell you which one we used.
- Wind. The frame, purlins and sheet fixing are designed for the basic wind speed IS 875 (Part 3) specifies for the site, with extra care at roof edges and corners.
- Monsoon rain. Heavy July–August rain needs correct roof slope, gutter size and downpipes, and good sealing at sheet laps.
- Soil. Ground near the Chenab and in the kandi belt can vary a lot from one plot to the next. We ask for a soil test so your civil engineer can size the foundations properly.
Our design is to IS 800:2007 (steel design), IS 875 Parts 1, 2 and 3 (dead, live and wind loads) and IS 1893 (earthquake loads).
